AEWIN Technologies Co., Ltd, a leading designer and manufacture of computing hardware platforms, announced the launch of the SCB-7971, a 1U appliance designed for a broad range of network service applications, including gateway security, UTM, network management, load balancing, WAN optimized acceleration and VOIP gateway. The SCB-7971 is a 1U rack-mounted hardware platform designed for network service applications. Built with Intel Embedded IA components with warranty of longevity, the SCB-7971 supports Intel® Atom™ N450, D510, D410 processors.

The platform supports un-buffered and non-ECC DDR2 SO-DIMM slots with memory up to 2GB. In order to provide the best network performance and best utilization, the powerful storage interfaces include one 3.5" SATA HDD and CompactFlash™.

This platform affords a maximum of 6 GbE Ethernet ports on the front-panel with two optional ports for bypass or configure the unit for 5 GbE Ethernet ports with optional 4~8 10/100 Switch ports. The front panel also features two USB 2.0 ports, one RJ-45 console port, a LCM display and LED indicators that monitor power and storage activities for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. In addition, the SCB-7971 is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
